This week our class is looking into "how to" writing pieces. We have talked about how to build a scarecrow with Ms. Race. We were thinking it would be neat to find out some of your favorite things to make. So here we go....
1. Do you know how to build a scarecrow?
2. Do you know how to make caramel/candy apples?
3. Do you know how to make a costume?
*We are looking for some great ideas of things to describe for our writing pieces.
Chloe and I like to make cheesecake filled strawberries! First, buy fresh strawberries (about 30) and a Jello no-bake cheesecake. Next, wash the strawberries, remove the stem (the green part), and with the help from an adult, remove the heart (middle) of the strawberry, leaving an empty space. Then, prepare the cheesecake and use it to fill the strawberries. Finally, prepare the graham cracker crust that comes with the Jell no-bake cheesecake and crumble it on the top of each strawberry and ENJOY! Note: If you chill the strawberries in the refrigerator for an hour, the taste will be even more enjoyable! :)
Don't forget that you can use the leftover pumpkin to make pumpkin pie after carving it. That way you have a yummy treat and a good looking pumpkin! http://www.marthastewart.com/312705/pumpkin-pie
How to make a trick or treat bag: 1. Ask the supermarket for a paper grocery bag. 2. Use markers or crayons to draw Halloween pictures on the bag. 3. Color the pictures. 4. If you have any stickers use those, too. 5. Use your imagination and create a unique bag. 5. Be sure to write your name on the bag and color it, too. 6. This bag will hold a bunch of candy.
